Ausetkmt Droppin Real Truth
"If the unions win the recall, there will be no stopping union power."

— Billionaire David Koch • Speaking about the Wisconsin recall efforts against Gov. Scott Walker. Koch made the comments during a recent speech after a benefit dinner, and were quickly backtracked by his spokeswoman, who clarified, “[Koch Industries thinks] the best workplace relationships are fostered when the employer works directly with its employees. It is a mischaracterization of our principles to say this means we oppose unions or want to dismantle all unions.” The Koch brothers find themselves under ever-increasing scrutiny for supporting political causes around the country, most notably the recall campaign of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. source (viafollow)

Conservatives Plot to Burn, Shred, and Sabotage Scott Walker Recall Effort

A group of self-identified conservatives say they plan to sabotage the effort to recall Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker, which begins on Tuesday, by burning and shredding recall petitions they’ve collected and misleading Wisconsinites about the recall process.
These plans, discussed in Facebook posts that were first reported by the blog PolitiScoop, entail posing as recall supporters and gathering signatures, only to later destroy the petitions. They also include telling Wisconsinites that they can only sign one recall petition (which is false—they can sign different petitions as long as they each correspond to a different organization) and directing signature collectors to the homes of registered sex offenders. (Requests for comment were sent to each of the Facebook posters who allowed messages from other users.)
In one post, Will R. Jenkins says, “I’ll be able to destroy 15-20K signatures.” If things go well, he adds, he might even “be able to destroy upwards of 15-20% of the entire collected ballots in the state of Wisconsin”:

Click here to view the Facebook posts and even more here.

Michael Maistelman, a Wisconsin attorney and election law expert who reviewed screenshots of the comments, says the postings could raise serious legal issues if the plan is to tamper with official recall petitions. “If a person fraudulently solicits recall petitions and then destroys those petitions, they will probably go to jail,” Maistelman says. “The law is very clear on this.”
[UDPATE]: Reid Magney, a spokesman from Wisconsin’s Government Accountability Board, says destroying or defacing an official recall petition would violate state law. (Here’s the relevant statute.) Such a violation, he adds, would be a class I felony in Wisconsin, which carries a maximum fine of $10,000 and up to three-and-a-half years in jail.

Wisconsinites, be on the lookout for this sort of behavior come Tuesday. What’s been described above are premeditated felonies and these individuals were simply dumb enough to get caught. Familiarize yourself with how this recall is going to work and protect yourself against the inevitable GOP dirty tricks. Scott Walker is going down.

It’s Recall Time for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Can it succeed?

Ninety percent of those from both parties polled said they’d vote in a Walker recall election, with 77 percent of those saying they’d “definitely” vote. The energy is there, Maslin told the staffers. And so, more crucially, was the anger: 51 percent said they’d vote for Walker’sopponent, while just 42 percent said they’d vote for Walker. The governor could be beaten, Maslin suggested.
[…]
That fight begins at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday with the launch of the official Walker recall campaign. Organizers have 60 days to collect at least 540,208 signatures to trigger a recall election for Walker. (Another 540,208 additional signatures are needed to recall Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.) The grassroots groups spearheading the recall effort under the “United Wisconsin” banner say they hope to collect as many as 700,000 or 800,000 signatures by mid-January. That’s roughly 12,000 or 13,000 a day. If they do, it will set up a bruising, cash-flooded, two-month recall campaign next spring, and an actual election between early April and early June, depending on legal challenges and potential primary races on either the Democratic or Republican side.
[…]
Today, Wisconsin is as divided as it was during the fight over Walker’s “repair” bill. In August, the left-leaning Public Policy Polling found that 93 percent of Democrats disliked Walker and 87 percent of Republicans liked him. His overall approval rating remains mediocre, with 47 percent approving and 51 percent disapproving, according to an October PPP survey (PDF).

Too long; didn’t read? Yes but it’s going to be a lot of work.

Wisconsin is now a Police State. (Video)

The video was produced by one of the dedicated young activists and citizen journalists who have been struggling to preserve the rights we have in Wisconsin, rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, the Wisconsin Constitution, and state statutes.

This journalist’s facebook page is called Shit Scott Walker is Doing to My State, perhaps a bit crude but after you watch the video you will probably agree that “shit” is an understatement.

This is what he shared when he posted this video on the SSWIDTMS facebook page:

The freedom of press is actively being suppressed by the Wisconsin Capitol Correspondents Association (WCCA).

My press credentials for the Capitol were just revoked this afternoon.

The head of the association is the Capitol reporter for the Journal Sentinel and has a vested interest in blogs and citizen media not having the same access as him.

They don’t recognize blogs in their bylaws over though the Supreme Court has rule blogs to be legitimate media.

Here is what the activists are defending (hat tip to stcroix cheesehead):

WISCONSIN CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE I. DECLARATION OF RIGHTS.
SECTION 1.  All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; to secure these rights, governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

SECTION 3.  Every person may freely speak, write and publish his sentiments on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of that right, and no laws shall be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press.

SECTION 4.  The right of the people peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common good, and to petition the government, or any department thereof, shall never be abridged.

…and this from the Wisconsin statutes…

19.90 Use of equipment in open session.  Whenever a governmental body holds a meeting in open session, the body shall make a reasonable effort to accommodate any person desiring to record, film or photograph the meeting.  This section does not permit recording, filming or photographing such a meeting in a manner that interferes with the conduct of the meeting or the rights of the participants.

Only a totalitarian, lawless government can claim that people silently recording or silently holding sheets of paper in the Wisconsin Assembly gallery are violating any laws. This is what awaits the rest of America. This is why we fight.

Please make this video go viral. Please “Like” the SSWIDTMS facebook page. The more we view, the less the president of the Capitol Correspondents Association can claim that SSWIDTMS is not a legitimate source of information.

This morning, Chris Larsen was fired for informing his colleagues at the DMV about the Wisconsin state Department of Transportation’s policy not offering free voter IDs to people unless they specifically asked to have the fee waived. If the fee isn’t waived, the Voter ID costs $28.00.

"

This week I got a pay cut for doing a good job. I am one of the thousands of state employees who have been affected by Governor Walker’s budget bill. I know that state workers have a better situation than many others out there, and I know I am fortunate, but it still feels like I’m being punished for a crime I didn’t commit. My husband works at the same organization, so we’re both getting hit.

Between the two of us, we will be taking home $500 less a month. That’s Five. Hundred. Dollars. What would happen to your family if you took home $6,000 less a year?

Because of this pay cut, everyday living will erode our rainy day fund. We’re already frugal. We already don’t vacation. We already aren’t able to afford repairs and maintenance for our home. We take home-packed lunches, ride share, and rarely eat out. We don’t even have cable. If we weren’t already always careful…if we had kids…if we were to have one big emergency…we’d be cooked. […]

I belong to the support staff union (WSEU) which is a part of AFSCME.

I grew up in a union household. My dad helped form a union at a company where he was laid off—because he was promoted to management and wasn’t covered by the union. My mom was the union steward for her organization for many years. She fought tooth and nail for people to be treated decently and to earn a fair wage. When people are stripped of more than 10% of their take home pay in one fell swoop, it makes it seem as if my parents fought for nothing.

"

“Sally” (pseudonym), a Wisconsin public employee.

She and her husband, along with other Wisconsin state employees, received their first paycheck last week since Governor Walker’s budget bill was enacted which includes higher contributions to health and retirement benefits.

The race has yet to be called but it looks like we lost the 8th District. However, that’s not to say we weren’t successful tonight. We fought against corporate power and Republican campaign games in traditionally conservative rural areas in Wisconsin and won 2 State Senate seats.
Wisconsin should be very proud right now for what we’ve managed to accomplish.

We Think that Today is a Great Day for A Long Tall Iced Tea, How Bout You ?

Today RE Ausetkmt discusses the Shooting Sheriffs Saturday by Anti-sec; the Googlecar which caused mayhem and wants Nevada to license driverless vehicles; and who’s got ice for the Tea Party in Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan. This Video is Hilarious and Timely.

Shooting Sheriffs Saturday was highly successful; As the FBI and many police departments around the US, found their most secret data openly distributed. By Who ????? Who else - #Anti-sec. this is apparently some of the data gleaned from a tap by LULZSEC a while ago. the data was retrieved from a hole in an FBI security contractors firewall. bingo. check this out - http://news.cnet.com/8301-27080_3-20089054-245/antisec-hackers-post-stolen-police-data-as-revenge-for-arrests/

Of Course the rumor is that this was done to show their displeasure at the arrest of Topiary last week, in the English round up. No Word on when those who were taken into custody will be either charged or released. we expect them to bring charges, but when they do - no doubt they’ll suffer even more security breaches. some could be even larger than this 10 gb release.

The data was left open on a torrent, for the entire world to download at their leisure. google even carried a listing to it in it’s search engines. talk about understanding seo. those Anti-sec folks really have their fingers on the pulse of the global data pathways.

Also we discuss the Tea Party and Why We’re Bringing Ice.. Tuesday is guaranteed to be hot in Wisconsin, which is why we’re bringing this ice to keep the troops chillin. there’s going to be a show down and the GOP will find themselves under voted and eliminated. not only in Wisconsin, but also in the upcoming races in Iowa and Michigan.

Yes We’ve got a big ass freezer and we’re making cubes around the clock for these climate change deniers. we intend to furnish as much of the peoples viewpoint as we can find. it’s time that the major networks knew that the news belongs to the news-makers - The People.

We Thank You for the increased traffic to our videos, our blog and also our site from your mobile devices. Please feel free to ping and re-post links to our stories and videos. we need your re-posts, your follows and also your comments. that’s the only way that the major seo companies can see that the people really do have an opinion.
